Thursday Night Summer 2018 Round Up

The Autumn 2018 Thursday Night comp has almost reached the half way mark and some difficulties are being experienced in getting emergency players for the teams. Please keep in mind that Darren Patton should be texted prior to the emergency player starting play so that they can get a ‘permit’

Club Championships

Well, after 5 weeks of fantastic tennis, the 2015 Woodend Tennis Club Championships came to an end on Sunday, 29 November. It was a day of great tennis, fine weather, music, good company and wine tasting. It doesn’t get much better than that!

Fast 4 Tennis

The competition is a NEW Tennis Australia initiative and makes playing tennis in a social competition even easier on your way home from work, before dinner. It aims to fit tennis into your busy lifestyle. It is competitive, exciting and lots of fun for all abilities.

A few years ago I was chatting with a couple of fellas at a BBQ at my place and reminiscing about how I played tennis when I was younger. Having grown up in Kooyong, I missed the great balance between comradery and thrill of winning.
